Ensures that comprehensive care is given to each patient and evaluates the services rendered. 1. Schedules nursing personnel to ensure adequate staffing for each shift. 2. Collaborates with Chief of Nursing Manager in determining and obtaining equipment and supplies needed in the performance of patient care. 3. Assists nursing personnel in identifying patient and family needs. 4. Participates in setting patient care standards 5. Counsels relatives when required at the waiting area Coordinates with the consultants to ensure that good nursing care is provided. 1. Ensures that all physicians orders are executed in accordance with established policies and procedures. 2. Works with the Chief of Nursing Services to apprise Specialist of special nursing problems and secure guidance for handling.
